An UphillBattle for Democracy and Judicial Justice in Burma: Insightsfrom the Human Rights Lawyers

The landslide victory of the National League for Democracy(NLD) in the by-elections of the parliament seats last April and the recentrelease of political prisoners in Burmademonstrates the progress in democratization in Burma. Yet, the political change inBurma is rooted in thelong-standing struggle and persistence of the people in Burma insteadof the generosity of the Burmese government. The Hong Kong Coalition for a FreeBurma is pleased to invite two veteran human rights activists from Burma, U Tin Aung Tun and U Aung Thane,to share about their fight for judicial justice in Burmain the military regime and post-by-election period in Burma.
